Marshmallow Cream Fudge

Posted by PaPaGrizz On September - 3 - 2008

This is an easy recipe I got from my future mother in law. It is so yummy, you can't just eat one piece!!

Are you ready? Cause here we go...

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 jar (10oz) marshmallow cream - 1 1/2 cups sugar - 2/3 cups (5oz) evaporated milk - 1/4 cup butter - 1/4 tsp salt.

Now here is the extremely important part. If you do not follow this to the "T" you will either have fudge that is hard and crumbly or you will be able to eat it with a spoon (like my mom used to make...lol - luv ya Ma)!

Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly over moderate heat for 5 minutes, no more, no less. That's where a timer is very handy...

Remove from heat and then add - one 12oz package of chocolate chips. Stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Add 1 tsp vanilla and stir. Nuts are optional, but not in this house, so I add 3/4-1 cup chopped walmuts and stir 'em up.

Pour your mixture into a greased 8" square pan and smooth around. Let cool until firm. Cut into squares. Makes about 2 1/4 pounds of yummy straight to your hiney goodness!

Now, if it dosen't turn out right, eat what is in the pan and start over!!

Enjoy
